Maple Leafs Square is one of the best atmosphere's in Stanley Cup Playoff watch along's, but ahead of Game 5, it's had to be evacuated.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs have been off to a red-hot start, and with the Battle of Ontario stealing the show, fans are certainly getting their moneys worth whether watching on TV, at home or at a watch along.
Perhaps the most exciting of all atmosphere's for a watch along is Maple Leafs Square outside the ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, with fans there getting used to heartbreak every single year together in Maple Leafs Square.
Now, the team are looking to put down the Senators in Game 5 after building up a 3-1 lead in the Battle of Ontario, with fans excited to watch the game among other fans in the incredible atmosphere.
Unfortunately, an announcement has now been made that fans have been evacuated just moments before puck drop due to inclement weather that is obviously beyond the control of the NHL and the organization.
This is certainly a tough break for those fans that have made their plans to watch along with other fans in Maple Leafs Square, but unsurprisingly, the Maple Leafs are putting the safety of their fans first.
However, the team still have an incredible chance to put one of their biggest rivals away in five games, and with either the Florida Panthers or Tampa Bay Lightning awaiting them, playing as few games as possible in the first round will be key for Toronto, so those fans will continue to support as they look to finish off a series for the second time in three years, but it just won't be in Maple Leafs Square.
