Insiders throw four new names into the mix in the Maple Leafs search for a General Manager

Tonight, new reports have connected the Toronto Maple Leafs to four new General Manager candidates.
Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs parted ways with GM Brad Treliving and now have begun the search for his replacement.
Treliving’s replacement will have a major mess to clean up as Toronto has struggled to surround Auston Matthews and William Nylander with talent and are low on draft picks.
Now, Elliotte Friedman and Darren Dreger have suggested four candidates to replace Treliving.
Insiders suggest four candidates to replace Brad Treliving
First, Elliotte Friedman suggested the Maple Leafs could turn to a familiar face in Jason Spezza who formerly was part of the Toronto front office.
If Jason Spezza feels he’s ready, I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t get an interview.
In addition to Spezza, Darren Dreger has named former Sabres GM Kevyn Adams, former Kings GM Rob Blake, and longtime NHL defenseman Chris Pronger as potential options.
I think you have to throw Kevyn Adams into the mix; I'm told that Rob Blake probably doesn't have keen interest; and then the Chris Pronger speculation as to maybe there's an office for him in the new...Maple Leafs
Once the season concludes, the Maple Leafs will likely begin their interviews which will make the pool of candidates more clear.
Until then, we will all have to rely on insider reports to determine who the early favorites are to take over one of the most storied franchises in the history of the sport.
