Rielly Cross-Check's Greig

Ridly Greig after Greig took a slap shot into the Leafs' empty net, breaking 'the code'.
The fallout of this was Rielly getting a five-game suspension, which he has since appealed.
The hearing for Morgan Rielly's suspension appeal to NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is scheduled for noon ET tomorrow in New York.
It will be conducted in-person.
Everybody has an opinion on Rielly's cross-check and now former Leafs defenseman Luke Schenn has weighed in.
Schenn Weighs In On Rielly's Suspension
In a recent interview, Luke Schenn said the following about Rielly's suspension.
«I thought [the empty-netter] was ridiculous, honestly. I'm on Rielly's side on this one. Obviously, it was an accident to cross-check him in the face... Maybe he needs some perspective there not to do that.»
Schenn left the Leafs in free agency this past offseason but it is nice to know that he still stands up for old school hockey.
