Former NHLer Takes A Jab At Sheldon Keefe For Recent Disrespect
Sheldon Keefe recently made headlines for disrespecting the Philadelphia Flyers during a blowout win and last night a former NHLer took a subtle jab at him for it.
Keefe Leaves The Top Powerplay Unit On During Blowout Victory
Earlier this week, during an eventual 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, Sheldon Keefe made the controversial decision to put out his top power-play unit up a bunch of goals late in the game.
Many did not like this move as it showed a lack of respect for their opponents and just last night, former NHLer Aaron Ward took a subtle jab at the Leafs for it.
"Just FYI. @Canes up 7-2 on @Senators with 3 mins left, get a power play, and Brind'amour sends out the 4th line first. I'll just leave that there. Talk amongst yourselves." - Aaron Ward
When asked what he meant by this, Ward said the following:
You know, just highlighting a situation where previously there was a debate recently about another situation and what is the RiGhT thing to do in a situation like that.. hypothetically of course.
It is clear that Ward wants the Leafs to look towards the Hurricanes as an example and given how they have more playoff victories than the Leafs over the recent years, maybe he is right.
