2 western conference teams rumored to have placed sizeable bids for Mitch Marner

With all the trade talk surrounding Mitch Marner of the Leafs lately, two Western Conference teams have stepped up with massive offers for his services.

The never-ending Marner saga only continues to grow more and more with each passing day, and today we learned that both the Vegas Golden Knights and the Utah Hockey Club are each preparing a massive trade offer in order to acquire Marner. Sources around the league claim that both clubs are going all in on Marner. Not everyone in Utah is happy about this potential trade, but word is making its way around the league and a trade is getting closer each day.

Last season, Mitch Marner outscored Clayton Keller by just 9 pts.

One played w/ Auston Matthews. The other w/ Barrett Hayton.

Marner has a +$4M (& growing) cap hit, and a playing style that doesn't mesh w/ what GMBA is building.

This swap would be a terrible deal for #UtahHC.

Despite fans in Utah not being overly excited to acquire Marner, the tune is a little different among certain Leafs fans, as word is spreading around Toronto that the Golden Knights could be closing in on acquiring Marner.

Mitch Marner is surely being traded by the #LeafsForever in soon time. The #VegasBorn Vegas Golden Knights passing on both Marchessault and C.Stephenson ($12 million/year combined) means that they are looking to land a big fish via trade. Make it happen Trievs!

Regardless of who gets Marner and who is happy or not, all signs are pointing to trade talks really heating up, and it's only a matter of time before news breaks of his trade.
