The Tampa Bay Lightning are rolling into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now they've added a former top pick to the roster to solidify their depth and level of talent.

While they may end up falling short of an Atlantic Division crown, 2024/25 is the most optimistic that Tampa Bay Lightning fans have been since the won their second of two straight Stanley Cup titles in 2021.
With all of their veterans rolling and some even having career highs, this has been a fantastic regular season for the Lightning, and with the post-season just days away, they've made a fantastic addition to the roster.
As announced on social media, the team have recalled Conor Geekie from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, and in a corresponding move, the team have sent veteran Cam Atkinson back to Syracuse.
In 49 games for the Lightning this season, Geekie has posted 6 goals and 12 points, and while that's solid production, he brings way more than scoring at the NHL level as he plays a hard 200ft game and can get incredibly physical.
After posting 11 goals and 20 points in 24 games with the Crunch, Geekie is now back, and it's likely that he'll take up a significant spot in their lineup down the stretch as the team look to get a major youth infusion that many expected to come from Isaac Howard.
The 20-year old was the No. 11 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, and was acquired in the Mikhail Sergachev trade at the 2024 NHL Draft, and now he'll likely take up a spot alongside Nick Paul and Gage Goncalves on the teams third line, and if they can get rolling ahead of the post-season, this will be an incredibly deep and tough unit to beat in the East.
