Gabriel Landeskog is finally back, and after scoring his first goal in a few years, he delivered an emotional speech for his new teammates in the AHL.

After almost three years away from the ice, Gabriel Landeskog made his return to professional hockey this past week, playing in a couple of AHL games with the Colorado Eagles.
While he didn't make much of an impact in his debut, he did in his second appearance, notching his first goal in over 1,000 days, with the entire crowd in Colorado knowing exactly what that moment meant.
After the game, Landeskog delivered a very emotional speech to his teammates, and it's clear that he couldn't be happier that he's back on the ice with his teammates, and although it's just in the AHL, it's clear it still means the world to No. 92.
What's also clear is the immense respect that his teammates have for him no matter what level it's at, and given all that he's been through since clinching the Stanley Cup back in 2022, everyone in hockey should be thrilled for the 32-year old.
This is just the first step however, as Landeskog is still eyeing a return in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season for the Avalanche, and after looking good in these first few games, he's expected to return against the old foe the Dallas Stars.
While there is a major difference in speed and talent between the two leagues, this is a player with almost 750 NHL games under his belt, and with the team needing him in the lineup, he will be a major addition for them when the post-season kicks off next week.
