Per a new update from NHL analyst Chris Johnston, the St. Louis Blues are not only open for business but could potentially move on from Robert Thomas before the March 6 trade deadline.

The St. Louis Blues are tied for last place in the Central Division and are going to miss the playoffs for the second time in three years; they're tied with the Winnipeg Jets, who they played in the first round last year and lost to in heartbreaking fashion.
There are several Blues players involved in trade rumours, including captain Brayden Schenn among others.
Per a new report from NHL analyst Chris Johnston, the Blues are not only open for business, but they could potentially move on from Robert Thomas.
Nothing is off the table in St. Louis, including a potential deal involving the team's top-line center. How likely that is depends on how you interpret the fact that his name has started to circulate again in chatter with rival teams. Thomas has experienced a slight dip in production this season, but he is coming off consecutive campaigns where he exceeded 80 points. He possesses strong puck skills and vision, and he can handle the challenge of facing tough competition every night. It would take a serious offer to land Thomas in the prime of his career, but the Blues are open for business. - Chris Johnston
Thomas was signed by the Blues to a lengthy contract extension through 2031 with an AAV (average annual value) of $8,125,000. He has 33 points (11G, 22A) in 42 games.

Blues GM Doug Armstrong Reportedly Doesn't Care About Making The Playoffs

Earlier in the month, Blues GM Doug Armstrong reportedly revealed that he doesn't care about making the playoffs this year as a late seed just to get crushed by a team like the Colorado Avalanche.
I've been told by other teams that [GM Armstrong] has said, I don't care if we make the playoffs or not, we're not beating Colorado in the first round, so I'm still listening on all these guys. - Pierre LeBrun
The Trade Deadline this year is March 6.
