The New York Rangers have already made serious changes in the last several months, and more could be coming, per top Rangers Insider Larry Brooks.
The New York Rangers have made multiple changes over the last several months, not the least of which was firing coach Peter Laviolette after he was unable to lead them back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Rangers, who won the President's Trophy and advanced to the Eastern Conference Final last year, failed to return to the postseason and also endured a trying season amidst reports of internal turmoil and unhappiness among the players against GM Chris Drury.
The Rangers, who traded captain Jacob Trouba and later acquired JT Miller from the Canucks, have since hired former Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan as Laviolette's replacement.
But the moves may not be over per noted Rangers Insider Larry Brooks.
As Brooks says, the Rangers could soon move on from pending RFA defenseman K'Andre Miller, who has played the last 5 years with the club.
At this point, it seems inevitable that K'Andre Miller - whose name was on the tip of just about everybody's tongue throughout the week - will be moved.
Several sources believe that Miller will be targeted with an offer sheet if No. 79 - an impending restricted free agent with arbitration rights - is not moved before July 1.

Miller is coming off a 2-year deal with an AAV (average annual value) of $3,872,000. He was taken with the 22nd pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, and had 27 points (7G, 20A) in 74 games this year.
