The New York Rangers have been exploring the idea of trading Chris Kreider for some time, and now, they're in advanced talks to send him to the Anaheim Ducks.

After a horror 2024/25 campaign that saw them miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs entirely, there has been plenty of speculation around the New York Rangers that big changes could be coming this summer.
Following a season in which they traded Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks, it appears as though another deal is coming together with the talented young Ducks team involving a veteran.
According to top NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, momentum is building for a deal that sends Chris Kreider to the Anaheim Ducks in a deal that would see them add plenty of grit and experience to a team that took a major leap forward this past season behind their incredibly talented young core.
With new Head Coach Mike Sullivan taking over, it was always expected that this team could explore deals for key pieces on this squad, with the likes of Kreider, Zibanejad and even Artemi Panarin all reportedly available.
While we don't know any of the details around the deal yet, Seravalli confirms that the framework of a deal is coming together, but with both teams being busy in recent times, it's unlikely to officially come together until Wednesday at the earliest.
With the Rangers looking to get younger and the Ducks needing a veteran that can help them play Stanley Cup style hockey, this would be a fantastic deal for both teams depending on what they each give up, but for now, all signs are pointing towards the lifelong Ranger joining his former captain in Anaheim.

Would this be a good move for the Anaheim Ducks to acquire Chris Kreider?
