Jonathan Marchessault caught clearly on hot mic berating teammate

The 2025/26 season has not been a good one for the Nashville Predators, and thus far, it appears as though they'll be in the running for a top pick in the upcoming 2026 NHL Draft.

Unfortunately for Nashville, some of their top veterans have struggled mightily too, with Jonathan Marchessault primary among them, as he has just 9 goals and 12 points across 32 games alongside a -12 differential, a massive drop off from his production in Vegas and his first season in Nashville.

Things continued in a downward trend on Saturday when the team were beaten 5-2 by the division rival Utah Mammoth, taking Nashville back down to 26th in the overall standings this season.

That frustration began to show during that game, as a hot mic has picked up a massive blowup from Marchessault, who screamed at his teammate, much to the delight of the announcers, as it was clear what he said.

There were several players around him, so it's unclear exactly who he was screaming at but given the frustration that's been brewing in Nashville, it could have been at any one of the players on the ice with him.

Ultimately, it's no surprise that something like this is happening, especially given the hype the Predators came into the past two seasons with following a big free agency haul, and with all of this happening, it brings us closer and closer to a potential trade of one of the Predators top veterans.
