Montreal Canadiens affiliate set to relocate this offseason
The Montreal Canadiens longtime ECHL affiliate, the Trois-Rivières Lions, are set to leave their current location in favor of a new location. The full details of the move are currently unknown but this will certainly have an effect on the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL and the Laval Rocket of the AHL.
Recently, Montreal radio morning host Alexis Samson dropped some major news regarding the Trois-Rivières Lions.

This news was later followed up by HFTV revealing that a potential relocation spot is Blainville.
We're hearing that the Trois-Rivières Lions, the Montreal Canadiens ECHL team, will no longer exist after this season. Interesting to see where they go, Blainville maybe?
The Trois-Rivières Lions have been around since 2021. However, complications could very well result in a relocation which could leave the Canadiens and the Laval Rocket of the AHL scrambling for a new ECHL team.
