Montreal Canadiens' captain Nick Suzuki just married Caitlin Fitzgerald, and photos were shared of their wedding online, where some fans began to bash her appearence.

Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki recently married long-time partner Caitlin Fitzgerald during a small ceremony they held in the Turks and Caicos Islands on June 9.
The event then concluded with a wedding party they held back in Montreal, with several of Nick Suzuki's former and current teammates joining, including Carey Price.
Both Nick Suzuki and Caitlin Fitzgerald are from London, Ontario. They were set up by mutual friends and have stayed connected through Instagram and Snapchat during Suzuki's junior years as early as 2016.
"The rest is history," is what Fitzgerald once said in an interview. The pair became engaged during a spring 2024 vacation while in the Dominican Republic.

Days After Suzuki Wedding, Fans are Sharing Their Rude Thoughts

But not all of the wedding fanfare was positive. Upon having pictures posted online, a few fans viciously criticized Fitzgerald, who they deemed as having too much makeup, and other hurtful comments, based on how she was staged and posing.

The comments prompted reactions from other fans who were defending her and asking for more respectful commentary.
Suzuki was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights with their 13th overall pick in 2017. He was then traded to Montreal during the 2018 deal to acquire Max Pacioretty and played his first NHL game on Oct. 3, 2019.
He became the youngest captain in Canadiens history and subsequently signed a massive eight-year, $63-million deal.
Finishing with a career-high 89 points, he guided Montreal to a wild-card finish and a date with Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals, who ended up eliminating Montreal in five games.
