The Montreal Canadiens media has been caught fabricating a story on their relationship with goaltender Jakub Dobes, whom they alleged had requested a break from interviews with reporters.
Montreal Canadiens goalie Jakub Dobes was alleged to have requested a break from interviews with reporters after their games in a recently released report.
But now, it looks like that story was fabricated and the young Czech goalie has requested no such break.
As confirmed by Habs on Reddit, a local Canadiens reporter told them that no such break was requested on the part of Dobes.
We've been told by a Habs reporter that this is in fact a «fabrication.»

So far this year, Dobes has gone 23-8-4 with a .894 SV%.
Jakub Dobes Was Rumoured To Have Requested A Break From Reporter Interviews
Per Canadiens analyst Jean Nicolas-Blanchet, Dobes was not being made available to reporters after games.
He was seen on the ice with Marc Denis after Tuesday night's game. Otherwise, he hasn't appeared before the media for several days, even when journalists request him.

But apparently, Dobes, who is in his second year in a Canadiens sweater following his rookie season, never made such a request.
In a media market like Montreal, Dobes would likely not get away with doing such a thing, especially if he remains their starter.
If the Habs once again make the playoffs for the second straight year, Dobes will be their starter.
