The NHL season is starting to heat up, and with teams hoping to get aggressive in trades, a major one could be brewing between the Kings and the Flyers.

While the 2025/26 NHL season is less than a month old, teams are already starting to get a gauge on their potential, with some possibly looking towards trades to either upgrade their current roster or build for the future.
Two teams that are looking to upgrade are the Philadelphia Flyers and the Los Angeles Kings, and despite neither being very far over .500 on the season, they are becoming potential trade partners.

Trade Brewing Between Philadelphia and Los Angeles

According to reports, Kings senior advisor Marc Bergevin has been in attendance for recent Flyers games, with analysts now speculating on social media that a trade could be brewing between the two.
The reason behind this is that the Kings are looking for help on the wing while the Flyers are looking for a defenseman, and with Brandt Clarke potentially being used as trade bait, these two teams could help each other out in any potential deal.
That doesn't mean that the Kings are actively looking to unload any of their young players, but with the team needing some serious talent on the wing, they need to use any assets they've got to make that happen.
We're yet to see a blockbuster move less than a month into the new NHL season, but with teams looking to get in early on potential deals, the action could start soon, and with these teams looking to upgrade, expect more talk around them in the coming days and weeks.
