Yesterday on X former NHL referee Tim Peel revealed some concerning news about Oilers forwards Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman according to his sources they are both injured.

Former NHL referee Tim Peel is known for being controversial on social media often. A new report he put out yesterday has fans up in arms over his thoughts. He said in a post on X that he had sources telling him that both Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid were playing through injuries.

Hearing Connor McDavid is dealing with an injury and Zach Hyman is banged up as well. Every team has injuries but this will be a challenge for #LetsGoOilers if they are to beat the #Canucks

This is the first and only report at the moment that has indicated either is dealing with some type of injury. If either player is injured it certainly is not showing as they are both playing at a high level in their series against the Vancouver Canucks.

Zach Hyman brings the Oilers within one!

Regardless of whether Tim Peel's sources are correct on this information the Edmonton Oilers are expecting and needing a big game from their stars in Game 6. As Tim Peel admits every team deals with injuries in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Oilers will need to overcome theirs for a chance to play the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals.
