Detroit Red Wings prospect Theo Niederbach has officially received a lengthy suspension for a high hit on an opponent.
Niederbach Suspended For Four Games For High Hit
It was recently announced that Detroit Red Wings prospect Theo Niederbach has been suspended for four games for a dangerous hit on an opponent.
"MoDo is appealing the disciplinary board's decision to suspend Theodor Niederbach for four matches after this situation, reports Expressen" - X post translated to English
Niederbach was also fined $600 USD as a result of the play as well.
Niederbach was the 51st overall pick in the 2020 draft by the Red Wings and is quietly been developing in the SHL. While his production is not eye-popping, he is playing a pro-style game and is expected to be a long-term pro for years to come.
