Nick Foligno Makes Major Declaration to Connor Bedard on the Bench
The Chicago Blackhawks brought in a few veterans last summer to help in Connor Bedard's development. After Corey Perry's controversial departure and Taylor Hall's injury from the team a few months ago, Nick Foligno stepped in to take Bedard under his wing.
Last night, a funny moment between the veteran and the rookie was captured by a hot mic.

Foligno got the fans chuckling with a major declaration he made to Connor Bedard at the bench.
Here's what he said:
There's so much to teach you I don't have enough contract time. I'm gonna have to stay in Chicago like five more years after I retire.

Last night with the @NHLBlackhawks, Connor Bedard became the 5th 18-year-old in NHL history to achieve a 5-point game.

With only 16 games remaining to the Blackhawks' season, it'll be interesting to see if the organization decides to give Foligno a contract extension, as he'll be a free agent next summer.
