The Detroit Red Wings had a tough time last night. They lost 7-3 against their division rivals, the Buffalo Sabres.

Not only that, one of their forwards had to leave the game after receiving a slap shot to the head.

Red Wings Player Struck in the Face by Slap Shot

The Buffalo Sabres completely took control of the game in the first period, securing a 4-1 lead by the intermission. During the second period, an unfortunate incident occurred when Red Wings player Joe Veleno was hit in the head by a slap shot from Connor Clifton.
