Bowen Byram out of the Sabres' lineup tonight for personal reasons
In breaking news today, it has been revealed that newly acquired Buffalo Sabre Bowen Bryam will be out of the lineup tonight against the Washington Capitals for personal reasons.
The Sabres and Avalanche had one of the bigger trade deadline deals of this season when they exchanged Bowen Bryam and Casey Mittelstadt. Both players needed a change of scenery, and it was a good deal on both sides.
Now, however, Bryam has been revealed to be out of the lineup tonight against the Washington Capitals. The game doesn't mean much for the Sabres, as they have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. For the Capitals, however, this is a huge matchup, as every win matters for them to get into the postseason.
#LetsGoBuffalo D Bowen Byram will not play tonight vs #ALLCAPS (personal) Byram has 3 goals and 4 assists for the Sabres in the 16 games since the trade. He is in the first year of a two-year deal signed by the Avalanche worth $3,850,000 per year.
Hopefully, this absence is nothing major for Bryam. More details to come.
