The Anaheim Ducks have a great young core, and according to reports, they're ready to make a massive move or two this off-season to push forward, with Mitch Marner firmly in their sights this summer.

While there aren't many elite level free agents in the NHL this off-season, from all accounts, it's set to be an absolutely chaotic summer in the league, with offer sheets, trades and a very intriguing draft set to define the future of the NHL as we know it.
One team that is reportedly set to make a big splash over the summer is the Anaheim Ducks, as NHL insider Jeff Marek has revealed that they are a team ready to take a 'major swing'.
According to Marek, one possibility for that major swing involves Mitch Marner, who is set to be the biggest free agent on the open market, with some estimating he could get offers upwards of $14 million, and the Ducks may just be one of those teams willing to give it to him.
Beyond that, this is a team that has a fantastic young core, and with rumours swirling around Trevor Zegras for the last few years, they may also be looking to make a massive trade that could shake up the fortunes of this organziation.
It's unclear just how good a shot the Ducks have at Marner, as he's also reportedly fielding interest from Los Angeles, Utah, Vegas and Florida among other teams, all of whom are in much better spots than the Ducks, but with the future being very bright in Anaheim, landing Marner may just be the move to get them back into serious contention in the Pacific Division.
