Jon Cooper just confirmed lineup decisions just hours before the puck drops against Czechia.

The head coach isn't pulling any punches for the opener.
We aren't talking about fringe roster guys here. We are talking about Seth Jarvis, the dynamo drafted 13th overall by Carolina back in 2020.
The kid has already buried 25 goals in just 49 games this season. But tonight? He sits.
Then you look at the blue line. Travis Sanheim. The absolute mountain on the back end for Philadelphia.
The Flyers took him 17th overall in 2014, and he has been eating minutes ever since.

Cooper's ruthless depth chart sends a massive message to the locker room

Sanheim has put up 24 points in 56 games this year. He is heavy. He is reliable.
And yet, he is watching from the press box.
Darcy Kuemper completes the scratch list. The veteran netminder, a 6th round steal by Minnesota way back in 2009.
He’s posting a .900 save percentage in 36 games for the Kings. Solid numbers.
But 'solid' doesn't cut it when you are wearing the Maple Leaf.
Cooper isn't here to make friends. He is here to win gold.
If these three are the ones sitting, imagine the absolute weapons on the ice.
The rest of the world should be terrified.
