Massive Proposed Trade Would Send Marc-Andre Fleury Home to Retire
Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the best goaltenders of this generation, but it is no secret his time in the league is coming to an end.
Having been usurped in Minnesota by Filip Gustavsson, Fleury's $3.5-Million cap hit could be better utilized elsewhere.
Fleury Sent Home to Quebec
The Minnesota Wild are truly cap-strapped due to the buyouts of Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. They are lacking a forward, however, and the Montreal Canadiens have a surplus.
This mock trade would send power forward Josh Anderson, as well as goaltender Cayden Primeau to the Wild, in exchange for Fleury, a 2024 1st round pick, and prospect Caeden Bankier.
