Today the Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson took the time to address the Corey Perry situation further. He added emotional context from the events of that week that added to the story.
Blackhawks GM Comments On Perry Situation
Kyle Davidson spoke to the media recently to address and put the Corey Perry situation to rest. He says that he personally feels the successes and failures of his players. Whether this was the Corey Perry dilemma or the passing of Kevin Korchinski's father the past couple of months have been difficult.
«These jobs aren't easy. You're responsible for so many people. Whether it's that (Perry) event or something very different with Kevin (Korchinski, whose father died) and his family, you feel everything, because you care about your players and your staff, and you care about their families."
He once again says that the Corey Perry issue has been handled and put behind them.
"(On the Corey Perry incident) We handled it and we got through it, but I'm happy it's in the past.»
This season has been a more turbulent one than the Chicago Blackhawks would've hoped for. Between injuries to key players, the Perry incident, and the Korchinski family tragedy the team has been through a lot.
With the team coming back from the holiday break maybe they can get back on a roll for the second half of the season.
