Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens picked up a big win over the Buffalo Sabres and during the game Montreal goalie Jakub Dobes trolled the Sabres.
The Montreal Canadiens came into Game 2 of the second round looking to set a tone against the Buffalo Sabres.
Despite giving up an early goal to Tage Thompson, the Canadiens came back strong piling on goals against the Sabres taking a 4-1 lead in the process.
Jakub Dobes trolls Sabres bench after decisive win
With the Canadiens up, goaltender Jakub Dobes took the opportunity to troll the Sabres players after a goal by Juraj Slafkovsky.
Beyond these interactions, Dobes multiple times was trying to get under the skin of the Sabres players or draw penalty calls with his aggression in net while also enduring a brutal collision with Sabres forward Beck Malenstyn as well.
Dobes' energy and antics toward the Sabres seems to have given his teammates and the Montreal crowd energy and motivation to continue scoring and taking the momentum.
The Canadiens now find themselves up 2-1 in the series and coming off back to back lopsided wins over the Sabres in part thanks to the improved play of Dobes.
Now, the Sabres will have to find a way to adjust and capture the momentum back in what becomes a must win road game against the Canadiens as they look to avoid going down 3-1.
As Game 4 approaches it will be interesting to see what the Sabres come up with to try and get Dobes off of his game like he was in Game 1.
