St. Louis Blues Closing In On Trading A Pair Of Star Players
This afternoon a new report from an NHL source has indicated that the St. Louis Blues are exploring trading a pair of star players from their team.
Blues Closing In On Trading A Pair Of Star Players
With the NHL trade deadline less than 24 hours away the St. Louis Blues are looking to move on from a pair of players. The Blues are exploring trades involving both forward Pavel Buchnevich and Colton Parayko.
I'm told the #stlblues could be dancing around a trade with the Leafs. The two sides have been chatting for a bit.
Parayko and/or Buchnevich the targets - though I would think that STL is dangling a few diff defenders.
With both players potentially on the move, several teams have been linked to each player. As the deadline comes closer these rumors continue to grow.
Blues Star Players Connected To Move At The Deadline
First, let's take a look at Pavel Buchnevich. Reports from around the league seem to believe he will be on the move first. According to Frank Seravalli the St. Louis Blues are open to retaining salary to make it happen.
Per @frank_seravalli,
«#stlblues Doug Armstrong has let interested teams know that he is willing to «get creative» and potentially retain as much as half on a player like Buchnevich, bumping him down to just $2.9 million next season.»
Perfect fit for #NYR
On the topic of Colton Parayko insider Elliotte Friedman believes that he could be more difficult to trade for. Due to the value the Blues feel Parayko has trading for him could be almost impossible. However, Friedman thinks if one team would make a run it would be the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As the trade deadline continues to inch closer the reports will continue to flood in. If the Blues make any big moves heading into the deadline be sure to check back here for the latest news and analysis.
