At the end of the game, a Penguins fan draped a Crosby Rimouski Oceanic jersey over the barrier at the tunnel towards the locker room, hoping to get it signed by the legend of the sport. Crosby played for Rimouski during his junior career from 2003 to 2005, racking up over 300 points in just two seasons. Unfortunately for the fan though, a security guard in the tunnel yanked the jersey out of his hand and threw it back to him, warning him not to try that again. Luckily, Crosby watched all of this unfold and was able to intervene, getting the jersey back from the fan so he could sign it for him.
That being said, if everything goes right for Pittsburgh this season, they could potentially sneak back into the playoff picture. Crosby got back into his grove last night during the 6-3 win over Detroit, with two assists as his first points of the season.
All told, this should be a very interesting season for the Penguins. Will the aging core dig deep to put together one last run at the cup, or will Father Time bring an end to this era of the Pittsburgh Penguins? Be sure to stay tuned this season to see how things go for Kyle Dubas' new club.
