Joel Quenneville publicly comments on his potential return to the NHL
Joel Quenneville was fired amidst the Kyle Beach scandal coming to light and he has now commented on a potential return to the NHL.
Recently, Joel Quenneville went on the Cam and Strick Podcast hosted by Andy Strickland and Cam Janssen and discussed a potential return to the NHL and the Kyle Beach scandal.
"I definitely didn't handle it properly. I definitely should've handled it differently. I should've went to confront Brad from what I heard, or follow up and ask more questions to get to the seriousness of it, and then report it correctly and make sure there's follow-up off of that, whether it was the head of HR or top management, making sure they follow through on the whole process." - Joel Quenneville
When asked if he has knowledge of the situation when it happened, Quenneville denied knowing the full extent of it.
"They told me that he was hanging around the Rockford players, he was socializing, they were going out to bars, and he might've sent an inappropriate text or two and that he was bugging them. That's all I knew." - Joel Quenneville
Quenneville has now been out of the NHL for a few years but he believes is ready for a return and it will now be up to Gary Bettman to determine if Quenneville will return or not.
