Nurse had trouble in the defensive end, ending the night with a -3 rating. He logged nearly 25 minutes of ice time and had just one shot on goal.
The turning point came late in the game when Reilly Smith scored the goal while Nurse was out of position, skating across the ice. The goal kept Vegas from falling into a 3-0 series deficit.
Commodore took things to a new level by calling Nurse "terrible"
Commodore vented on social media after the game, expressing his displeasure and aimed at Nurse. In a follow-up tweet, he described Nurse's game as "terrible."
"For the life of me..I am trying to like Darnell but he's terrible. Watch him at bare minimum he's constantly on 1 knee or legit laid out flat cleaning the ice full body right out of the play. He's terrible."
While Nurse has had some solid playoff games, his Game 3 performance stoked the fire of criticism. The Oilers hold a 2-1 series lead with Game 4 on Monday, once again in Edmonton.
