With
John Gibson returning from his injury last weekend after missing the start of the season,
the Anaheim Ducks were poised to make a roster move involving a goaltender. With Gibson, James Reimer, and
Lukas Dostal, there were too many people in the goalie unit, prompting general manager Pat Verbeek to take action.
Reimer, 36, took part in two games this season with the Ducks and lost both of them, with a 4.50 GAA and a .864 SV% record.
In his career, he played 503 games in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs, San Jose Sharks, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, and the Ducks. The Maple Leafs' 99th overall pick in 2006 tallies a 2.89 GAA and a .910 SV%, and will hope to get these numbers higher this season with the Sabres.
