Frank Seravalli has been one of the NHL's premier insiders for quite some time, but now, his future is up in the air after a shocking announcement on social media.

NHL coverage is often considered some of the best in the entire sporting world, and with the likes of Darren Dreger, Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun and Frank Seravalli leading the way, hockey fans are treated to timely news.
Unfortunately it's not all positive, as the likes of Seravalli have definitely been involved in some controversies in recent times, and now, the future of the Daily Faceoff reporter is up in the air.
On social media on Monday, Seravalli announced that he is soon to be leaving Daily Faceoff, revealing that on July 1st, he will be a free agent along with so many big names in the NHL.
Seravalli hasn't ruled anything out when it comes to July 1st, as he notes that he's excited to embark on other ventures, without clarifying whether that meant within NHL coverage of perhaps other sports, or other coverage all together.
While he often draws immense criticism for his comments, especially those written about the Columbus Blue Jackets and Johnny Gaudreau earlier this season, Frank is often at the centre of breaking news, speculation and some of the best NHL coverage in the sport.
For now, we'll wait and see what the future holds, and while he's likely to remain involved in hockey, if Seravalli decides to go with a different path to cover another sport, it would be a shock move and one that definitely impacts the overall coverage of the NHL in North America.
