Former Chicago Blackhawks coach Luke Richardson, who was fired after another slow start to the year in early December, reportedly wants to return to coaching.

The Chicago Blackhawks decided to fire coach Luke Richardson in a move that not many saw coming, replacing him with Rockford IceHogs head coach Anders Sorenson on an interim basis.
Sorenson, who became the 1st Swedish-born head coach in NHL history, went 17-30-9 the rest of the way as the Blackhawks missed the postseason. Since then, they hired former Detroit Red Wings head coach and Tampa Bay Lightning assistant coach Jeff Blashill; Sorensen will remain with the team as an assistant.
In the meantime, reports have surfaced that Richardson wants to return to coaching according to a new report from BVM Sports, saying that he expressed interest in the recently filled position of coach of the Seattle Kraken.
Additionally, coach Luke Richardson expressed interest in the Seattle Kraken's head coaching position, although it's unclear if he interviewed. Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames have promoted Trent Cull to a full-time assistant coach. The offseason continues to unfold for teams across the Pacific Division.

The Kraken hired former New York Islanders head coach and former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant Lane Lambert to fill the position that was vacated by Dan Bylsma, who was fired after only a single year on the job and failing to make the playoffs.
Additionally, insider Pierre LeBrun recently indicated that he interviewed for the position of Boston Bruins head coach.
