The Boston Bruins have dropped an update on the status of Charlie McAvoy, who was admitted to hospital in Massachusetts following USA's loss to Sweden

The buzz around the final of the 4 Nations Face-Off has reached epic levels as Team Canada and Team USA get set to square off in the final on Thursday.
Even with Brady Tkachuk firing a bold message to Team Canada before the final, Team USA is up against a major hurdle as star defenceman Charlie McAvoy was admitted to Mass General in Boston last night following USA's loss to Sweden.
The Bruins have now released an update on Charlie McAvoy, saying he was admitted to hospital for a infection that was the result of a minor injury. There is no long-term concern, and McAvoy has not been ruled out for the final against Team Canada.
Players from all four nations at the tournament have shown they are willing to put their bodies on the line while playing for their respective countries.
While many fans love it, owners are likely very tense, as an injury to a star player can have a major impact on a team's ability to get into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, let alone make a deep run.
Tkachuk sat out USA's loss to Sweden, but is expected to be good to go for the final.
