Brendan Lemieux shares emotional tribute to his father Claude after sudden passing at age 60
This evening, former NHLer Brendan Lemieux released a heartfelt and heartbreaking statement after the passing of his father and NHL legend Claude Lemieux.
Earlier today, news broke that NHL legend Claude Lemieux had sadly and suddenly passed away at the age of 60.
Lemieux's passing came just days after he was in attendance for the Montreal Canadiens playoff game against the Carolina Hurricanes and was the team's torch bearer during pre-game ceremonies.
Sadly, he would pass away just three days later and in the hours following his passing Lemieux's son Brendan a former 2nd round pick of the Buffalo Sabres released a statement.

In the hours after Claude's passing was announced, Brendan took to Instagram to share a statement honoring his father and sharing his thoughts on the tragedy.
I love you dad! My son's favorite person is going to watch from above for a while. We will see you.
Between Brendan and Claude the duo played over 1500 NHL games and both were integral parts of good teams during their careers.
In addition to his successful playing career, Claude was known for his second career as a sports agent representing several players in the NHL up until his untimely passing.
In addition to the tribute from Brendan, the entire hockey world have come together to share their condolences and honor Claude.
We send our condolences to the Lemieux family and all of those who were close with Claude during what must be an incredibly difficult time.
