BREAKING: NHL Fines Two Coaches $50k For Misconduct
In breaking news, the NHL has announced today that it has fined these two Head Coaches 50 thousand dollars for misconduct during their previous games.
Sheldon Keefe and Don Granato Fined $25k Each For Misconduct
It looks like the NHL is trying to crack down on Head Coaches expressing their dislike for officiating during games, as they have fined both Sheldon Keefe of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Don Granato of the Buffalo Sabres $25 thousand for their actions in their respective games.
Keefe was ejected during the Leafs game for his actions, and Granato was given a bench minor.
The NHL has a hard precedent for protecting its Officials, as they impose strict fines for any comments after the game about bad refereeing. This is one step further, punishing both coaches for their actions during the game.
