WILD crowd brawl breaks out which leads to game getting CANCELLED
On Saturday, during the first period of the matchup between University of North Texas and East Texas Baptist University at the Allen Americans College Classic tournament, a disturbance broke out in the stands among some fans. As a result, the game was called off early. At the time of the incident, UNT was leading 1-0.
In response to the altercation, the University of North Texas issued the following statement:
during today's game between UNT and ETBU, a physical altercation occurred in the stands right behind the Mean Green bench between a UNT fan, extra ETBU players and ETBU's head coach. The UNT hockey team had no involvement, and ETBU's actions were unjustified. Further actions have been taken due to this, and we will provide more information at a later date. No further comments will be made available at this time
