The Vegas Golden Knights recently won the Stanley Cup, and with it came a wild Stanley Cup party. Unfortunately, a serious threat was made to the safety of the people attending the event, and the police needed to be involved.
Vegas Police Arrest Threat
The Las Vegas Police Department arrested a man hours before the Golden Knights' Stanley Cup parade. The man in question had planned to attack the parade, with the goal of injuring as many people as possible.
The man was reportedly motivated by his recent breakup with his girlfriend, who was planning on attending the parade.
No further arrests have been made.
This isn't the first arrest made in relation to a threat against the Golden Knights. Earlier this week, a man was arrested for threatening to bomb the airport in which the Golden Knights were arriving at.
This series of incredibly scary threats against the safety of athletes and normal people is sad, to say the least. People should be able to enjoy their team's victory without fearing for their lives.
