USA Today Survey Reveals Who Has The Best Fans In Hockey
We all believe as hockey fans our favorite teams have the best fans in Hockey (especially Leafs fans).
But according to USA Today, through a survey they did, the News site revealed the Carolina Hurricanes have the best fans in hockey which may come as quite a bit of a surprise to most (including this writer).
Here's what USA Today had to say:
Sorry Canada this is your sport but the Carolina Hurricanes fans are on another level these days and it's showing with a great team. There always loud and they tailgate like they do for college and NHL Football games and they stick around after they win for their Storm surges the coolest thing of all.The Fans fill the PNC Arena which most say isn't a hockey market that's why they get our nod.
Although I admit it's cool to see the Carolina Hurricanes fan base and their "Storm surge," they are nowhere near the same level of fanbase as the majority of the Canadian markets, and even American markets like Boston, Chicago, New York etc.. Until this Storm Surge, you never heard a thing about the Carolina Hurricanes fanbase, so to put them above these other markets is just insulting.
