After not too long ago the New York Rangers organization sending a letter to fans stating they were going to do a rebuild, the Rangers made it al the way to the Eastern Conference finals this past season. They beat the Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes before falling to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 6 games.

Seeing what this team is capable of now has Rangers fans excited about the possibilities of next season. Unfortunately though, we have some bad news for Rangers fans as Larry Brooks stated that both second line center Ryan Strome and deadline acquisition Andrew Copp will be testing free agency on July 13th.

But to make matters worse, the Athletic reported that both Julian Gauthier and Alexander Georgiev have requested trades out of New York.

Copp was a deadline pickup in exchange for Morgan Barron and 3 draft picks. Copp had 21 goals and 32 assists this season in 72 games between the Jets and Rangers.

Ryan Strome had a career revisal ever since joining the Rangers in 2018-19 when he came over from the Edmonton Oilers. This past season he had 21 goals and 33 assists in 74 games. It will be interesting to see if he can continue this production on another team.
