It's been a while now since the Anaheim Ducks were an elite team, especially after years of them being a team you could just peg in to be a Playoff team and possible cup contender. But after years of good drafting and developing, things are looking bright again for the Ducks.
Well, until last night that is. Last night the Anaheim Ducks were playing against the Arizona Coyotes in a pre-season game and the Ducks superstar player Trevor Zegras was carrying the puck up the ice and got clobbered by Coyotes' Jan Jenik and needed to be helped off.
It was quickly announced that Zegras had an upper body injury and would not return to the game. Whether this was just for precautionary reasons due to it being pre-season or not, this is not something Ducks fans want to see.
No penalty was called on the play.
