After yet another disappointing end to the Toronto Maple Leafs season, it was announced that significant changes might be coming to the organization this offseason.
The Athletic announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs have made it clear to NHL teams that they are open for business for all of their roster except for 3 players.
The Maple Leafs are interested in trading anyone from their roster except Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly.
Some pretty significant people left off this list are William Nylander, Jake Muzzin and John Tavares. After signing free agent John Tavares and using a significant amount of their salary cap to do so, they are now looking for potential trade partners to get rid of their captain.
Kyle Dubas and the Leafs are looking to do everything in their power to put some playoffs victories together during the Auston Matthews era before he becomes a UFA and possibly leaves in free agency.
