The Quebec Ramparts won the CHL's Memorial Cup last night in a showdown against the WHL's powerhouse team the Seattle Thunderbirds. The popular tournament features the winners from each of the three CHL leagues' playoffs, as well as the team of the host city. Following the win, the official Twitter account of the QMJHL took to Twitter to clap back at fans who had previously dissed the league.

QMJHL Doesn't Hold Back

The Tweet came at 9:22 pm last night and said the following.

«ThE QmjHL iS ThE wEaKEst LeAGuE iN tHe ChL!»

This was a reference to what many junior hockey fans, especially those of the CHL and their three leagues, often say in regard to the QMJHL. The "Q" is often considered to be the worst of the three, with the OHL and WHL consistently ranked higher than the Q in terms of difficulty and prospect development.

The Remparts' win last night proved all of the haters wrong.

Patrick Roy Shares a Special Moment

There have been many questions about departing head coach Patrick Roy, who has been heavily rumored to take an NHL coaching job once his stint with the Remparts concludes this season. While the future is uncertain for Roy, he seemed to be enjoying the present with his players.

The Remparts certainly showed their strength last night, beating the Memorial Cup favorites by a score of 5-0. Beating Seattle is an accomplishment on its own, but shutting them out is simply spectacular, especially considering the star talent on their roster.

Congrats to Roy and his Remparts for their win!
