The Detroit Red Wings first-round pick has been traded in a major deal involving the two teams.

Nate Danielson of the Detroit Red Wings, a first-round pick playing in the minors was traded in a huge deal involving both teams. Danielson was the lone player being traded by his team for a forward, defenseman, and three draft picks. All too crucial to build a team around and provide more depth in the roster. Nate Danielson is an excellent skater that the Detroit Red Wings are going to benefit from because of his prime offensive game. He is an agile forward who can make it work from any area of the ice in the offensive zone and knows how to set up his teammates for goals. He is known for his playmaking skills as well as his scoring and can play anywhere on ice.

Detroit made a wise choice by selecting the forward from Red Deer, Alberta. His attributes come off of playing for his hometown and then moving on to the bigger leagues. He is projected to be the next Steve Yzerman and has a high IQ in the game. His plus +6 rating in the World Junior Championship Tournament shows strong signs of playing with and against the best and complements his teammates with his broad skills.
