Young Defenseman Gets First Crack To Replace Xhekaj
Reports are indicating that 22-year-old defenseman Jayden Struble will be first up to fill Xhekaj's role. In two NHL games this season Struble has been impressive including his first NHL point in a game today against the San Jose Sharks.

Struble will likely bring more of an offensive flair to the lineup but less physicality. Xhekaj's physical presence and style of play will be certainly missed. It will be interesting to see if Struble can take advantage of the huge opportunity created for him.
