Tampa Bay Lightning sign 3 RFA's to MASSIVE 8 year deals - PUTS THEM OVER THE CAP
It's only been a few weeks since the Tampa Bay Lightning were eliminated in 6 games to the Colorado Avalanche to end the hopes of a three-peat.
Once the playoffs were over, the Lightning had some roster and cap situation to take care of including some key Restricted Free Agents.
Just now the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they've signed 3 RFA's to 8 year deals:
Mikhail Sergachev signs an eight-year extension with #TBLightning at $8.5M AAV.— Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) July 13, 2022
Anthony Cirelli 8 year $6.25 AAV in Tampa.— Jeff Marek (@JeffMarek) July 13, 2022
Erik Cernak signs eight-year extension with #TBLightning at $5.2M AAV.— Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) July 13, 2022
Long gone are the days of players taking discounts in Tampa Bay to be a contending team.
