Tampa Bay Lightning guarantee they win 3 more Stanley Cups

Today the Tampa Bay Lightning took the steps to keep their bottom 6 forwards intact for the foreseeable future. The Lightning signed Patrick Maroon to a 2 year contract extension, with an annual cap hit of $1,000,000.

Maroon has been apart of the last 3 Stanley Cup Champions (St. Louis, Tampa Bay x2) and has been a key part in the bottom 6 forwards of all those teams. This season Maroon has 13 points in 45 games while contributing 65 PIMs.

This deal will keep the 33-year old Maroon in Tampa Bay until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
