It was a crushing OT loss for Toronto. It was their chance to punch their ticket to the 2nd round of the NHL playoffs and instead they have to play a game 7 against the back-to-back Stanley Cup champions on Saturday night.
Leafs Head coach Sheldon Keefe had these comments during the post-game press conference:
"Plenty of chances to finish the game and finish the series and didn't go our way, but lots of belief in our group and we're excited to play game 7 on home ice in front of our fans."
Despite the setback when asked today about the upcoming game 7 Keefe commented on the mood of his players:
"The feeling in our team is one of great confidence."
Lastly Keefe said of his game plan:
"Just got out and win the hockey game.»
Toronto will be looking to prove their haters wrong this Saturday night!
