During tonight's Senators versus Blackhawks game, Parker Kelly boarded Connor Murphy from behind during the 1st period. Murphy's struck the boards and was knocked unconscious.

Medical staff from both teams worked on Murphy before he was finally removed from the ice on a stretcher.
After being motionless for awhile it appeared to those in attendance that Murphy did give a thumbs up on his way off the ice.
Parker Kelly was assessed a 5-minute major and a game misconduct on the play.
