Robert Hagg creams Maple Leafs John Tavares as he was falling (VIDEO)
This is one of those unfortunate situations where a hit is delivered and is delivered high with no intent. Tavares was skating in and Hagg was lining him up for what we hope was a clean hit. Tavares trips and Hagg who already had Tavares in his sights and was to close to stop delivered the hit.
I have more to say about this play overall but let's get two things clear:
1)Tavares was tripped.

This does not look like an intent to injure and it looks as though Hagg tried his best to avoid an injury situation.
