REPORT: Ryan O'Reilly discusses RE-SIGNING with Toronto Maple Leafs

During his time in St. Louis, Ryan O'Reilly was the driving force of the Blues, but with the direction they were heading, O'Reilly even though he was their captain, was not seen as part of their future.

When Toronto acquired him, he was having a down year with the Blues, but was seen as a great two-way forward who could provide some depth scoring and leadership that has been missing in the organization for awhile:

O'Reilly is a UFA at the end of the season and will most likely be looking for that last long-term contract that could around the same $6,000,000 value that he currently has.

O'Reilly had an interview with Luke Fox and discussed the possibility of remaining with the Toronto Maple Leafs past this season:

It's impressive. I always knew there was lots of staff here and resources. Getting here and seeing it firsthand, it's at first a little overwhelming. Once you kind of get a handle and get to know everyone, it's pretty amazing, the help that you have to assist your play. Like myself coming back from injury and just every facet of your meals to everything. It's just so elite and above everything I've seen before.

Yeah. Obviously, yeah, that's for sure. We got playoffs still to come, but, yeah, there's not a bad thing I can say for this organization. They do everything the right way, and if something doesn't work here, they're changing, right? They're always looking at ways to get better. And that's the reason why it is such an amazing franchise.
